Gmail drive is just a shell extension which help u to add an virtual file system around an gmail account..basically,it just looks like a normal hard disk drive, where we can just copy and paste files,by drag and drop method,as we usually do for our normal windows files..same is applicable here…GMail files are physically stored as e-mails on your Google Mail account. The files are stored in mail attachments, and the filename and file information (such as filesize) is stored in the message subject line…..
The interface you work in is Windows Explorer itself, since it is a Shell Extension…
What U need to do is,
1.You must need gmail account for sure…If u have gmail account, then download the software from here.
2.Double click to install and after installing u can see GMAIL DRIVE as yet another drive as c or d..
3.On double clicking it,just login with login details and you get the space alloted for the gmail account there. What ever you copy it will be sent directly to mail account ….it is quite fast and easy.
The Gmail drive is neither released nor endorsed by Google, though you need a Gmail account for it to function.
